Quilt’s from El’s Kitchen BOM
I am so sorry it has been such a long time since I have been able to post. My husband (who built this great website) was having technical issues which have only now been resolved. I will try to do better to keep everyone up to date on the happenings from our shop!
Last Saturday, we started our new Block of the Month, Quilts from El’s Kitchen by Eleanor Burns and Quilt in a Day. This has been our biggest hit to date and we are so excited about having so many wonderful quilters join our Block of the Month, some for the first time! We started with a quick meeting and then those who chose to stay for our Sit and Sew got busy. Of the sixteen ladies who came to our kick off meeting, ten chose to stay and sew. We had an absolutely marvelous time. Of the ten ladies who stayed and sewed, I believe six of the ten got both blocks completed before they left. There is nothing quite as much fun as sitting down to sew, talk, laugh, learn quilting tips and tricks with a group of ladies who share your passion. We took a few pictures of our quilters with the fruit of their labor so I thought we should post these for everyone to enjoy.
We want to thank all the ladies who are joining us for this beautiful project and for making this the funnest kick off for our Block of the Month projects ever!
A quick note for our BOM ladies – the March 26th Sit and Sew for the Block of the Month will begin at 1:00 p.m. As I will be unable to attend, Sandra wanted to be sure to give every one of her customers her undivided attention. She will theoretically close the shop at 12 noon so once you ladies have come to pick up your blocks and stay to sew, you will have her undivided attention should you need any assistance with the blocks. We will provide coffee, tea and water as well as snacks for our next meeting. However, if there is something you want to bring and share with everyone, please feel free to do so!
Everyone have a great time and I’ll see you soon, down the shop!!!
